  • GRAPES: 100% Primitivo
  • PRODUCTION AREA: Vineyard ‘Marchesana’, Gioia del Colle, Puglia
  • SOIL: Red iron soil, characterised by an underlying layer of limestone
  • VINE-TRAINING SYSTEM: Spur-pruned cordon
  • PLANTS PER HECTARE: 4300
  • PRODUCTION PER HECTARE: 9 tons
  • HARVEST: Mechanical harvest during the first week of September
  • VINIFICATION: Alcoholic fermentation in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature
  • AGING: 24 months in stainless steel tanks and 12 months in the bottle
  • ALCOHOL CONTENT: 14% vol.

TASTING NOTES

  • SIGHT: Deep ruby-red with violet dazzles
  • NOSE: Intense aroma of little black fruits (blackberry, sour cherry, ripe cherry) with delicate notes of flowers (violet) and herbs (mint)
  • PALATE: Full, long and velvety, ending with hints of almond
