PRODUCTION AREA: Vineyard ‘Marchesana’, Gioia del Colle, Puglia
SOIL: Red iron soil, characterised by an underlying layer of limestone
VINE-TRAINING SYSTEM: Spur-pruned cordon
PLANTS PER HECTARE: 4300
PRODUCTION PER HECTARE: 6 tons
HARVEST: Mechanical harvest during the second week of September
VINIFICATION: Alcoholic fermentation in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature
AGING: 12 months in stainless steel tanks and 12 months in the bottle
ALCOHOL CONTENT: 15% vol.

TASTING NOTES

SIGHT: Deep ruby-red colour with garnet sparkles
NOSE: Enchanting aroma of ripe plum and cherry, accompanied by echoes of thyme, tobacco and liquorice
PALATE: Gushing with flavour on the palate with great length. Sustained by well structured tannins. Rich, long and satisfying finish
