Description

  • GRAPES: Blend of indigenous red grapes including Aglianico, Negroamaro, Nero di Troia and Primitivo
  • PRODUCTION AREA: Vineyard 'Montevella', in Acquaviva delle Fonti, Puglia
  • SOIL: Deep silty clay loam
  • Vine training system: Spur-pruned cordon
  • Plants per hectare: 4300
  • Production per hectare: 6 tons
  • HARVEST: Hand harvest in boxes, during the last week of August / first week of September
  • Vinification: Soft pressing of the grapes, first alcoholic fermentation in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature
  • SECOND FERMENTATION: In the bottle, left to mature in contact with the yeast for 24–36–48 months
  • ALCOHOL CONTENT: 11% ABV

 TASTING NOTES

  • APPEARANCE: Bright coral-pink color revived by copious bubbles.
  • NOSE: Intense notes of rose petals, raspberry, and cherry, with pink grapefruit flavors, set against a pastry backdrop.
  • PALATE: A full, round sip with fine bubbles and a saline finish, enriched by citrus echoes
  • FOOD PAIRING: Throughout the meal, but especially suited to cold cuts and semi-mature cheeses, eggplant parmigiana, fish, legumes, tomato pasta, and white meats
