Production area: Vineyard 'Montevella', Acquaviva delle Fonti, Apulia
SOIL: Deep silty clay loam
Vine training system: 70-year-old bush vines
Plants per hectare: 8000
Production per hectare: 4 tonnes
HARVEST: Hand harvest in boxes during the first half of September
Vinification: Alcoholic fermentation in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature.
AGING: 24 months in stainless steel tanks and 12 months in bottle.
ALCOHOL CONTENT: 16.5% vol.

Tasting Notes

APPEARANCE: Deep purple-red with ruby reflections.
NOSE: Dense bouquet of wild forest fruits, blackberries and prunes, with delicate notes of flowers (rose) and tea leaves. Enhanced by memories of licorice, graphite and wild herbs
PALATE: Powerful, elegant, and austere. Supported by smooth tannins, underlying minerality, and ample acidity. An everlasting finish that perfectly matches the nose.
