Description

  • VARIETIES: Blend of native white grape varieties including Maresco, Marchione, Bombino Bianco, and Falanghina
  • Production area: Contrada 'Macchia di Gatto' located between the municipalities of Acquaviva delle Fonti, Casamassima and Sammichele di Bari
  • SOIL TYPE: Iron-rich red soil characterized by an underlying layer of calcareous rock
  • TRAINING SYSTEM: Spurred cordon
  • HARVEST: Hand harvest, in crates, in the last week of August/first week of September
  • VINIFICATION: Soft pressing of the grapes with a short maceration in a press, alcoholic fermentation in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperature
  • SPARKLING CHARACTER: Second fermentation in bottle and subsequent aging on the lees for at least 36 months
  • ALCOHOL CONTENT: 12% vol.
